Decision support only
GENEVIEVE App™ cannot guarantee animal behaviour, compatibility, safety, weather, surfaces, park conditions, capacity, owner attendance, legal compliance or third-party information.
Voluntary check-in limitation
Check-in, check-out, owner and crowd information are voluntary community reports and may omit people or dogs who are present. Never rely on the displayed count instead of looking at the park, gate, signs, dogs and conditions directly.
Immediate owner duties
- Keep the dog on lead where required, including outside signed off-leash boundaries.
- Remain close enough to supervise and control the dog.
- Interrupt interactions when body language, guarding, chasing, pinning, fear or overstimulation creates concern.
- Check heat, ground temperature, shade, water, tide, surf, hazards and the dog directly.
- Follow current signs, council rules, veterinary instructions and emergency directions.
Puppies and vulnerable dogs
Do not assume a public dog park is suitable for a puppy. Seek veterinary advice about vaccination and exposure, and prefer controlled positive socialisation with suitable healthy dogs. Use additional caution for older, unwell, flat-faced, injured, fearful or otherwise vulnerable dogs.
Emergencies
For urgent danger, contact the appropriate emergency service, veterinarian, council/ranger or police. Do not delay urgent help while using the app.
